Craniosacral Therapy with the horses
Where stillness meets connection – healing along side horses.

Equine Assisted Learning
Equine Assisted Learning is an experiential, hands-on approach to personal growth, emotional regulation, and building life skills through meaningful interactions with animals. It is suitable for children, youth, and adults of all abilities.
At Evermore Pastures, these sessions can be as gentle and simple as spending time with our therapy animals — brushing, touching, or simply being in the calming presence of our donkey, goats, dog, or horses. For those who are ready, we can also explore more involved, goal-oriented activities with the horses, carefully tailored to each individual’s needs and comfort level.
Through this work, we naturally develop life skills such as leadership, building healthy relationships, setting and respecting boundaries, growing self-confidence, and practising coregulation — the ability to settle and find calm through connection with another being.
Our animals are not here to be ridden. They are here to be our partners, our teachers, and our mirrors. Every interaction is an opportunity to slow down, listen, and experience what it feels like to be present, authentic, and seen.
Whether you’re looking for personal growth, emotional support, or simply the therapeutic experience of being with animals in nature, Evermore Pastures offers a welcoming space to explore it all, at your own pace.

Craniosacral Therapy
At Evermore Pastures, we are honoured to offer a unique and powerful healing experience that combines Equine Assisted Wellness with Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST).
In collaboration with Kaili from Inner Ocean Wellness, we create a deeply supportive space where clients can safely explore nervous system regulation, emotional healing, and personal growth.
During these sessions:
- Heather remains fully attuned to the horses, practising the Trust Technique, a mindfulness-based approach that invites both the horses and clients into a peaceful, calm presence.
- Kaili offers her skilled, gentle touch through Craniosacral Therapy to help the body release tension, regulate the nervous system, and access deeper layers of healing.
- The horses are never forced to participate. They voluntarily choose to engage and hold space, often providing moments of profound connection and coregulation.
This unique approach is rooted in a deep reverence for the intuitive wisdom of horses and the sacred stillness they so naturally embody. Inspired by the quiet potency of horse-led healing and guided by a practice that honours presence, regulation, and energetic awareness, our sessions invite you into a shared field of trust, rest, and renewal.
These sessions are perfect for those seeking nervous system regulation, trauma healing, emotional balance, deeper self awareness, and connection to nature and animals, particularly the wisdom of horses.

FAQ’s
What is the cancellation and weather policy?
We do require a standard 24 hours notice to reschedule a session but we understand that life happens. Please reach out if you cannot make your session for any reason. If you do not cancel or fail to give any notice you will be charged the full service amount for your missed session. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. More than two no-shows may result in end of services. Clients who are late will not receive additional time beyond the end of their regular session time. Clients will never be charged for a session that is cancelled on behalf of Evermore Pastures.
We operate rain or shine, but in the event of a special weather statement for severe conditions, such as high winds, heavy rain with potential flooding, snow, or ice, we will cancel and reschedule your session for another time. If a special weather statement is issued for our area, we prioritize safety and will inform you of any changes.
How do I book a session?
To book a session, please start by filling out the Program Inquiry and Eligibility form below (or found here), and we will reach out to you shortly.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us: info@evermorepastures.ca
What should I wear?
Our sessions take place outdoors, with a small covered area available in case of rain. Please dress warmly and comfortably for the weather, in clothing that can get dusty or dirty.
Sturdy, closed-toe footwear is essential. Boots or closed shoes are required, and rain boots are recommended during wet weather.
Do I need horse experience?
No prior knowledge of horses and/or horsemanship is required. We will help you to understand how horses communicate and how to communicate with them. We will coach you on safety around horses, communicating with horses, and we will be by your side closely monitoring in a supportive environment. We are mindful of your concerns and will modify sessions to ensure you feel safe and comfortable – there is always the option to be on the other side of the fence from the horse. Learning how to recognize your fears, the cues and level of discomfort, and reflecting on those can be in itself a rewarding benefit of the program.
What are the farm rules?
Our farm rules are:
–Any person participating in our programs and handling a horse must complete and sign a Waiver of Liability & Release Form
–For safety and privacy, children must always be accompanied by an adult on the farm premises. During program sessions, however, we kindly ask that parents or caregivers remain in the parking area or relax in our heated Bunkie office, allowing us to work privately and safely with the child and animals.
–No smoking, no lighters, no matches on the farm. No running, no screaming, no jumping around the horses.
–We kindly request that your four-footed animal family members (dogs) be left at home.
Why do you recommend taking at least 6 sessions?
We recommend each client begins with 6 private sessions to allow for meaningful progress and transformation. Feeling comfortable and regulated, as well as building trust and connection with the horses and developing a deep relationship with oneself, takes time. These sessions provide the necessary foundation for clients to explore their inner world, experience personal growth, and develop valuable life skills.
The 6-session + format ensures consistency, allowing clients to gradually integrate the insights gained and experience lasting change at a pace that feels right for them.
Why do you call your place a sanctuary?
We call Evermore Pastures a sanctuary because it is a safe, welcoming space for both people and animals. Once an animal arrives here, it becomes a permanent member of our sanctuary, never having to worry about being sold or relocated. They receive continuous care, including regular veterinary support, ensuring they live out their lives in peace and well-being. Our sanctuary offers a refuge where all beings—human and animal—can find safety, healing, and a sense of belonging.
What kind of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and e-Transfer at this time. Invoices are available upon request
Do you offer therapy?
Not yet! Currently what we offer is a learning & wellness program. While there are therapeutic benefits to participating in our program, this is not therapy or counselling. Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is a clinical service that incorporates horses into mental health therapy and is provided by a qualified and licensed mental health professional such as clinical counsellors, licensed psychologists, or licensed clinical social workers. We will be offering Equine Assisted Psychotherapy in 2028 when Heather graduates with her Masters degree in Counselling Psychology!
Do you offer riding lessons or Therapeutic Riding?
No, we do not offer riding lessons or therapeutic riding as it is not our area of specialty. However, we are happy to refer you to trusted facilities that provide those services.
