Fiona

Fiona is a kind and sensitive mare with a lot of wisdom to share with people. She embodies a balance of power and gentleness that inspires us to do the same.

Peedro

The first member of the Itty Bitty Mini Committee

Peedro first came into Heather’s life 27 years ago, when she was just a teenager and they became inseparable. Then, life took an unexpected turn, and Peedro was sold, leaving a gaping hole in Heather’s heart. Years went by with no way to know where he had ended up or if he was safe. But in 2015, Heather’s husband, Lawrence, knowing the depth of their bond, decided to find Peedro. After months of calls, messages, and a relentless search, he finally found him—a miracle—safe and cherished on a quiet hobby farm. Today, Peedro is home at Evermore Pastures, reunited with Heather and living his golden years surrounded by love. He is more than just a miniature donkey; he is a living piece of Heather’s story and now an irreplaceable part of our learning & wellness team, bringing his gentle spirit to help others find their way.

Beau

With his deep, soulful eyes and gentle presence, Beau is an old soul with quiet wisdom to share. Rescued from an unknown past, he reminds us that healing begins with feeling safe, being heard, and moving at a pace that honours where we are. Beau teaches us the power of patience, trust, and authentic connection—lessons that unfold when we slow down and truly listen.

Muncher

Muncher is our newest member of the family and full of the zoomies! You’ll be sure to see him hopping around and no doubt getting into mischief.

Darryl

Meet Darryl, our senior resident troublemaker and charmer! This goofy goat brings laughter, warmth, and a little bit of chaos to Evermore Pastures. He is so much more than just a goat; he’s an entertainer, teacher, and occasionally, a gentle therapist who reminds us to embrace a little silliness and savour the simple joys in life.

Maui

Maui is the friendliest and fluffiest farm dog, certified with the Pacific Animal Therapy Society (PATS). This therapy dog loves helping people feel good! He lovingly greets all visitors to the farm and is sure to offer many kisses while doing the typical “Bernese lean.”

The Hens

These curious little hens spend their days roaming around like they’re on a mission. They love to feast on grain—when they get tossed a handful, they eagerly peck at all the insects, seeds, and any little morsel they can find. Their lively, purposeful foraging adds a touch of playful energy to our farm, making each day a delightful dance of nature in motion.

In memory of

Chester

In his short time here at Evermore Pastures, Chester touched our hearts in a way that words can hardly express. When he first arrived, he was timid and unsure, afraid to trust people. But slowly, through patience and love, Chester’s curious and gentle spirit began to shine.

He had the most beautiful, inquisitive face, and despite his initial fear, he would lean into love and curiosity with such bravery. We feel deeply grateful to have cared for this sweet soul, to have shared moments of connection that taught us the true meaning of presence and unconditional love.

Chester’s journey reminds us why Evermore Pastures exists—to be a sanctuary where both people and animals feel safe, loved, seen, and held. Thank you, Chester, for your trust, your love, and the lessons you leave behind. You will forever be a part of this place, and we will carry your memory in our hearts.

Lilah

The smallest member of the Itty Bitty Mini Committee

Lilah was with us for only a few short months, yet her presence left a lasting mark on our hearts. The transformation she went through in the short time here was nothing short of a miracle. In time, through patience, love, and the quiet connection of the Trust Technique, she began to soften, to trust, and to rest peacefully among her new herd.

In her final moments, I was honoured to sit beside her, gently stroking her neck as she passed naturally and peacefully. Thank you, Lilah, for every lesson, every moment of trust, and every bit of love you shared. You will always be a part of Evermore Pastures.
